Labour suggest large public funding, withdrawal from the EEC and nuclear disarmament of their manifesto for the 1983 common election. Chief Michael Foot claims that Britain can not afford to proceed with the current insurance policies of the Conservative authorities. The manifesto was later dubbed the longest suicide notice in historical past by Gerald Kaufman, a member of Michael Foots shadow cupboard.
